The Steelers rejected the Raiders’ Antonio Brown trade offer … in ‘Madden’

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Raiders agreed on a trade that will send All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown to Oakland in exchange for a third and fifth-round pick. The trade, which can’t become official until the league year starts on Wednesday, was a shocking turn of events that left Brown ecstatic.

Brown gets a pay raise to go to a team he likes while the Steelers are agreeing to part ways with a Hall of Fame receiver (who is still productive at 30 years old) and eat $21.2 million in dead money. The trade really does sound farfetched when spelled out.

Like, who would ever agree to that?

The video-game version of the Pittsburgh Steelers wouldn’t — that’s for sure.

UTEP quarterback Brandon Jones recreated the trade in Madden, and the real-life proposal was so bad that the digitized Steelers declined it with “no interest” in considering the Raiders’ offer.

That’s never a good sign when artificial intelligence has more football intelligence than real football people.

“The Steelers have no interest in this trade. Make a better offer.”

Maybe the real Steelers should take a hint.
