'The stars are aligning' - Leeds United fans daring to dream after West Brom and Fulham draw

Leeds United fans have taken to social media to react to the goalless draw between West Bromwich Albion and Fulham at the Hawthorns.

Two of the Whites’ promotion rivals cancelled each other out during the game on Tuesday evening, with Fulham going the closest through Anthony Knockaert in the second half.

The result was perhaps the best outcome for Leeds, with Marcelo Bielsa’s men now able to increase their lead at the top of the Championship with a win over Barnsley on Thursday evening.

Fulham’s failure to pick up all three points also now means that the lowest that Leeds can finish is in third place, with the Cottagers becoming the latest club that are unable to catch the Whites.

The draw has caught the imagination of Leeds fans watching the game, who are starting to dream over what could come over the next few days and weeks.

Four more points will see Bielsa’s team return to the Premier League for the first time since 2004, and fans are starting to feel the excitement.

Here is how they reacted on social media.

Leeds fans are also likely to be glued to a second game tomorrow night when third-placed Brentford take on Preston North End at Griffin Park.

A Bees' loss or a draw would serve as a major boost to the Whites’ promotion bid and would put Premier League football within touching distance.

Leeds are in action themselves on Thursday when they take on bottom of the table Barnsley on Thursday evening at 5 pm.
