The staggering values of Man Utd star Daniel James and Sheffield United striker Oli McBurnie after Swansea City transfers

Daniel James and Oli McBurnie are continuing to make an impress in the Premier League following their exits from Swansea City last summer.

James joined Manchester United for a fee of £15m which could rise to £18m with add-ons while McBurnie made the move to Sheffield United for £18m, with that figure potentially increasing to £20m.

And it seems their transfer values have significantly escalated since becoming top flight stars.

Little more than a month ago, James was valued at £60.57m by the CIES Football Observatory.

The CIES Football Observatory's algorithm takes a range of factors into account when coming up with a player's estimated transfer fee, with age and the economic level of the releasing club among the items taken into consideration.

And they now rate McBurnie as being worth between £33.3m and £41.7m, which is approximately double what the Blades paid to take the striker from South Wales to Bramall Lane.

The pair were among a raft of players to leave the Liberty Stadium last summer as Swansea continued to reduce costs following their relegation from the top tier.

Jordan Ayew joined Crystal Palace for a reduced fee of £2.5m, although the Swans were happy to see the Ghana international depart as he was one of the biggest earners at the club.

And he is valued at being worth between £12.5m and £16.7m.

It means that - using the average sums of £37.5m for McBurnie and £14.6m for Ayew - the three players who left Swansea for the Premier League in the summer are valued at a combined total of £112.67m.

A further nine players departed during the recent January transfer window, with Steve Cooper signing Rhian Brewster, Conor Gallagher and Marc Guehi on loan deals.

McBurnie has netted four times in 24 Premier League appearances for Chris Wilder's side this season while James has bulged the net on three occasions for the Red Devils this term.

As for Palace forward Ayew, he has struck six Premier League goals for Roy Hodgson's men since making his loan move to Selhurst Park permanent.
