The shirt numbers available to Ryan Sessegnon & Giovani Lo Celso at Tottenham

Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso are expected to be announced as Tottenham players very soon after a busy day in north London.

With Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke the only players to join Spurs ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline, it was always expected to be a frantic final few hours for Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino.

Paulo Dybala was one player Spurs fans were hoping would join the club by the time the window closed until January, yet Juventus elected against selling him with no frontman to replace him in Turin.

However, the immediate arrivals of both Sessegnon and Lo Celso ensure that it is a strong finish to the window for the club.

But what shirt numbers could they wear for Spurs over the course of the season?

Here we take a look and see which are currently free and which ones could become available with some players potentially departing.

Vacant numbers

What to expect from Spurs on deadline day

No.2

Kieran Trippier's move to Atletico Madrid means the number is available to players who come in ahead of the transfer deadline.

No.9

Vincent Janssen's exit means the famous No.9 shirt is available once again.

No.13

The number 13 shirt is available after Michel Vorm's exit once his contract expired at the end of last season.

No.18

The No.18 shirt is free at present as Fernando Llorente appears that he won't be returning to N17.

No.19

The number has been vacant since Mousa Demeble's move to China at the turn of the year.

No.25

The No.25 shirt is now available with Josh Onomah heading to Fulham as part of Sessegnon's move.

No.26

Nobody has worn the No.26 shirt following Ledley King's decision to call time on his career seven years ago.

The shirt has not been officially retired by the club despite the fact not a single player has worn the number since the 2011/12 season.

No.29

Harry Winks was the last player to wear the number but he switched to No.8 at the start of last season.

No.30

Previously worn by Pau Lopez during his time in the capital following his loan move from Espanyol.

No.31

Vacant since Luke McGee's move to Portsmouth two years ago.

No.32

Just like a few of Spurs' squad numbers, No.32 has not been used since Benoit Assou-Ekotto had his contract cancelled in 2015.

No.38

Cameron Carter-Vickers has headed out on loan again and this means his No.38 shirt is available.

The defender will spend the season at Stoke City following his previous spells at Sheffield United, Ipswich Town and Swansea City.
