It has been an up-and-down start to the season for Tottenham Hotspur.
There have been a few highs for Spurs, with three victories in the league so far this season, including a 4-0 win against Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
But there have also been several lows for Mauricio Pochettino's men, including the Carabao Cup exit at the hands of League Two side Colchester United and the humbling 7-2 defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek.
However, one player has been a consistent performer for Spurs in recent weeks, despite the mixed run of form - Heung-min Son.
The South Korean international has scored three goals for Spurs so far this season at an average of one goal every 173 minutes, while he has also registered two assists.
His form has earned him a nomination for the Premier League player of the month for September, while statistics from OptaPro show that he is currently the best Tottenham player in possession so far this season, following the first seven games of the new Premier League campaign.
To determine a team's best player, those with a minimum of 360 minutes under their belts are considered and it is 'based on their contribution to the overall probability of their team scoring a goal'.
And although Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks have received plenty of praise this season, and Harry Kane is currently Spurs' top scorer with seven goals to his name this season, it is Son who stands out, according to the statistics.
In the first seven games, he has been the most progressive Spurs player, with his possession value at around 0.6 putting him out in front ahead of his team-mates.
