The Spurs lost Game 7 and everyone was stunned that they didn’t foul in final seconds

The Denver Nuggets won Game 7 of their first-round series against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, as they withheld a late run to win at home 90-86.

The Spurs were able to cut it to two-point game with less than a minute left. But a big shot by Jamal Murray made it a four-point game with a beautiful floater.

The Nuggets then got the ball back with a 4-point lead and less than 27 seconds left on the clock and for some reason the Spurs didn’t foul, the clock ran down to under five seconds when San Antonio got a rebound but there was no time left to do anything.

Game. Over.

Series. Over.

And everybody was wondering why they didn’t at least foul very early in that Nuggets’ possession to at least give them a chance. Gregg Popovich even appeared to be yelling at LaMarcus Aldridge to foul but nothing happened.

Popovich was asked after the game about why Aldridge didn’t foul:

“Obviously he didn’t hear anybody because he didn’t foul,” he said.

Aldridge said after that he didn’t hear Popovich but also that he should have known to foul:
