The sports world was in awe of the epic Djokovic-Federer Wimbledon final

What a match.

Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer added another chapter to their storied rivalry on Sunday as the two tennis stars went the distance in a five-hour, five-set Wimbledon final that ended in the 12-12 tiebreak.

After all that, Djokovic captured his second straight Wimbledon title (fifth of his career) and his 16th grand slam win.

It’s not too often that a highly anticipated championship exceeds the hype by that much, but Sunday’s match will go down as one of the best in Wimbledon men’s singles history.

Despite Federer winning at least six games in every set and having two match points, Djokovic was able to hold off his rival. And the sports world was beyond impressed as it watched the two push each other to the brink for nearly five hours.

This was how the sports world reacted.
