The sports world celebrates USWNT’s dominant World Cup win

The U.S. Women’s National Team enters every competition with ridiculous expectations, and the 2019 World Cup was no different. In fact, those expectations were pushed even higher with the (ridiculous) controversy surrounding the team.

While some claimed that the team’s, um, enjoyment of their exploits was divisive, that clearly WASN’T the case in the American sports world. The outpouring of support following USWNT’s dominant 2-0 win over the Netherlands in the World Cup Final is clear proof of that.
