The Spooky 'Fortnite' Season 6 Battle Pass Is Here: Here's What's In It

Fortnite

The day has finally arrived and Fortnite season 6 is here. Player will wake up this morning to throw money at the screen for a new battle pass, and another 100 tiers of stuff to grind for. There are map changes, new pets and a whole bunch of new skins on deck.

The theme of this Fortnite update appears to be “spooky,” at least so far, as Halloween falls in about the middle of the season. That’s reflected in a few of the early skins we’re seeing so far, but who knows what the rest of the season will bring. The Cube has made an island float, and there’s a new haunted castle in Haunted Hills, but before we get into all that, it’s straight to the battle pass.

Here’s what’s in the season 6 battle pass, and you can see if it’s worth your while.

The Pets:

The brand new addition to season 6 is pets, like we saw toys added last time around. There are a few pets in the battle pass which include:

Bonsey (Tier 12) – The first pet you get is a small dog (not sure what type, mutt?), that works as back blind, but you know, alive. There are addition Bonesy colors at Tiers 59 and 90.

Fortnite

Scales (Tier 43) – Your very own pet dragon! There are new colors for him at Tier 74 and at Tier 98.

Fortnite

Camo (Tier 29) – A chameleon, no additional colors, but he might change all on his own.

Fortnite

The Skins:

DJ Yonder (Tier 1) – Here’s the DJ skin from the teaser that everyone will get just by buying any bit of the battle pass. It does not appear that he’s customizable.

Fortnite

Calamity (Tier 1) – Here’s the new “Drift” skin for season 6, finally a female skin, and one I’m guessing that will drive all the pre-teen Fortnite boys wild. Calamity unlocks additional outfits through six tiers, ending with her wearing a badass mask and duster. You can also change the color highlights of her outfits, which require you to complete challenges, not just earn XP.

Fortnite

Fable (Tier 47) – There’s a wolf later on, but first we get Fortnite’s own Little Red Riding Hood, which is kind of the J. Scott Campbell version of the character (Google it), mixed with Anna from Frozen.

Fortnite

That’s a few of them, but go here to see all the rest of the skins.

The Gliders

Picnic (Tier 7) – This is Fable’s glider which features a pie in the middle.

Fortnite

Covered Crusader (Tier 39) – A spooky wagon with gold in it? Anyway, this is clearly Calamity’s.

Fortnite

Swarm (Tier 79) – Move over ice dragon, we may have a new coolest glider in the game, but you’re going to have to grind for it.

Fortnite

The Contrails

Exhaust (Tier 19) – For my money, this might be the best one of the bunch.

Fortnite

Fireflies (Tier 36) – I believe this aligns with Fable, though I can’t remember the role fireflies played in Little Red Riding Hood.

Fortnite

Jack-O-Lantern (Free Tier 54) – Kind of lame, but it’s the free pass.

Fortnite

Bats! (Tier 68) – Yes, the exclamation point is part of the name. This is a must-have if you’re going to use the Swarm glider. I also assume there will be a male vampire skin coming too.

Fortnite

Spectral Essence (Tier 83) – This just looks like….wind? I’ll have to see it in-game.

Fortnite

The Axes

Smash Up (Tier 15) – Here’s DJ Yonder’s corresponding mining tool. Does it play tunes?

Fortnite

Guiding Glow (Free Tier 30) – Honestly this Fable axe might be the only good thing in the free pass.

Fortnite

Music Packs – One new addition to the battle pass this season are music packs for the game, which you can try out once you unlock them. Not a bad idea.

And that’s all the major stuff. There are some back blings in there and your usual sprays and a couple toys and emotes, but you can go view that stuff for yourself. What do you think of the pass this time around? Worth buying? Worth grinding?
