Michael Fatialofa has been discharged after five months in hospital following the horror neck injury he suffered in January.
It was feared the New Zealander would never walk again after he sustained a severe contusion of the spinal cord during Worcester Warriors' clash with Saracens at Allianz Park in the opening month of 2020.
However, the lock defied the odds by walking unaided just 11 weeks after the injury, which resulted in him spending just shy of three weeks in intensive care.
Earlier this week, the 27-year-old's wife Tatiana confirmed on social media that Fatialofa was set to be released from hospital.
And she has since shared a video of the wonderful moment she was allowed to embrace her husband when he exited the hospital.
In the 27-second clip, the towering forward is seen emerging from a door at the hospital before receiving a hug and a kiss from his wife.
Writing on her Twitter account, his wife said: "Longest we’ve ever been apart in 10 years... finally WHOLE AGAIN."
She later added: "The last time I slept in our bed or woke up next to my husband was January 4th. It’s June 6th now.
"A lot has changed, except one thing, he’s always been a MIRACLE (and currently a snoring one lol)."
Ryan Kehoe, Worcester's head of medical, said: "Following a handover from the rehabilitation team at the Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital, we will look to continue to build on the amazing work they have done with Michael.
"His rehabilitation at this stage will focus on improving his general muscular strength, co-ordination and mobility."
