A man has been jailed for a series of offences including robbery, assault, theft and drugs.
Damien Ward, 31, robbed a man of his electric bike as he rode along Wilford Crescent East in The Meadows on the morning of February 24.
About an hour later police officers found Ward, of Winston Court, Newark, with the stolen bike.
During a separate incident, on February 5, Ward punched a man to the head following an altercation between the pair in West Bridgford.
The victim was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment having suffered a concussion and a cut to his head.
Ward was involved in another incident on August 29, when he stole a purse from a woman at the tram stop in Meadows Way, Nottingham.
On January 14, he was found to be in possession of Class B drugs.
He also pleaded guilty to assaulting an emergency worker after stealing items from the Boots store in Central Avenue, West Bridgford, on February 23.
An off-duty police officer saw Ward leaving the store with items.
After he identified himself as a police officer, Ward threw items at him hitting him to the head and body.
He ran off chased by a member of the public.
When he appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday, May 15, Ward received sentences of eight months in prison, to be served consecutively, for charges of robbery and actual bodily harm.
He also received four-month sentences, to be served consecutively, for charges of theft and assault on an emergency worker.
He was handed a four-month concurrent sentence for a further charge of theft and received one-month concurrent sentences for three charges of possessing a Class B drug.
Ward was also made subject of a two-year restraining order and was also ordered to pay a £149 victim surcharge.
Detective Constable Chris Bostock said: "Offending such as Ward’s will not be tolerated in our county and I’m pleased that we have now been able to remove him from from our streets."
