The solid Swansea City player ratings as Connor Roberts runs riot, striker impresses and Chelsea man shows bravery

FREDDIE WOODMAN 6

Decent stop to keep out George Moncur's strike in the first half. Didn't have much else to do. Another clean sheet.

KYLE NAUGHTON 8

Made plenty of vital clearances inside his own box and was as neat and tidy as ever. Very good display.

BEN CABANGO 8

Made his fair share of tackles and clearances. Looked very solid in the middle of the back three.

MARC GUEHI 7

Had plenty to deal with as Luton carried a threat on Swansea's left flank. Dominant in the air though and often used his strength to his advantage. Forced off after bravely putting his body on the line.

CONNOR ROBERTS - Star Man 8

Now the only man to start every league game for the Swans this term, Roberts' deflected strike gave his side an early lead. Should have had an assist with a free-kick for Cabango, but it was yet another fine display from the Wales star. Always an outlet.

KOREY SMITH 6

Had the odd moment here and there that proved to be rather important. Solid rather than spectacular.

MATT GRIMES 6

Similar to Smith, in truth. Swansea struggled in the centre of the park.

JAKE BIDWELL 6

Got forward well early on but had to more defending after Luton improved. Not as busy in attack as he was earlier on in the campaign.

YAN DHANDA 7

Looked confident in spells and tried his luck with a shot from distance in the first half. Some decent play with Andre Ayew and Liam Cullen too. Encouraging.

ANDRE AYEW 7

Some very decent moments but often couldn't quite make that final pass. However, he showed his class with what was a fine strike to seal victory at the death after making a block on the line at the other end.

LIAM CULLEN 7

Looked confident from the outset and played his part in the opener. Hold up play was impressive and he showed encouraging signs of linking up with Ayew. Fed slightly though and was subbed.

Subs

Kasey Palmer (for Dhanda) - Played his part in the second goal and looked lively. 7

Jamal Lowe (for Cullen) - Some decent moments and had his chances late on. 6

Joel Latibeaudiere (for Guehi) - On for his debut, the former Man City man helped Swansea see out the game. N/A

Viktor Gyokeres (for Ayew) - Too late to make an impact. N/A
