The Social Media Column: Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to attend actress Jenny Dixon's wedding to Limerick TD Tom Neville

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and Fair City stars Dave O’Sullivan and George McMahon are some of the big names confirmed to be attending the wedding of actress Jenny Dixon and Limerick TD Tom Neville later this month.

The trio are just some of the 170 guests that will toast to the couple as they celebrate in the luxury Powerscourt Resort in County Wicklow.

Jenny told us: “We will have at least a table full of people of Fair City.

"I have actually just been chatting to Martina Stanley, who plays Dolores, and she is away so she won’t be able to make it.

“But there will be a whole batch including George McMahon and Dave O’Sullivan who play Mondo and Decco. Bryan Murray and Una Crawford O’Brien who play Bob and Renee will also be there.

“Tom also has several tables of people from his work,” added the bride to be.

Jenny recently returned from a sun filled hen party in Marbella with her closest friends.

While she was never too pushed on a girly escape before getting married, she said that the weekend was perfect.

“A lovely crew of us went away for two nights and three days. I hadn’t been on many hen parties before I didn’t really get the whole purpose of them until now.

“The girls showed me a great time, a few nice cocktails, shopping and some sunshine- it was lovely,” continued the former Fair City actress.

Jenny’s future husband has also enjoyed a pre-wedding blow out with his friends and she admitted that his parties, there was more than one, were bigger and better than hers.

“Tom has had some [stag parties] already. He has outdone mine, I am envious.

“His next one is a bit of a golf trip and that will finish it all before the wedding,” she told us ahead of the big day.

With only a couple of weeks to go until she walks down the aisle, Jenny revealed that she is more excited than nervous about saying “I do”.

“I went to the church with Tom, my mom and the wedding planner the other day and I did a little saunter down the aisle. I think I will enjoy that moment and I hear that it goes very fast, so I will try and take in all of the little moments.

“I don’t know if I am nervous because I am the type of person who prepares things as much as possible and I have a really great team around me.

“Butterflies have definitely kicked in, it is verging more on excitement rather than nerves,” she said.
