Jason Byrne revealed appearing as a guest on the Graham Norton Show has been the highlight of his career so far.
The well-known comedian and radio host graced the popular show eight years ago alongside mega stars Lady Gaga, Gweneth Paltrow and Geoffrey Rush.
And despite feeling like he said very little on the show in 2011, the 47-year-old funny man said it has been his biggest claim to fame so far.
He told The Social Media: “In my career, just to be on the telly is good enough.
“One of my favourite moments of my career I was on Graham Norton with Lady Gaga, Geoffrey Rush, Gweneth Paltrow and me right, and I barely said anything on that show because it was all about Lady Gaga.
“And people always come up to me and go, ‘oh my god, you were amazing on that show with Lady Gaga’, but it was just because I was there, that is all.
The Dubliner, who has just finished up his second season as a host on Ireland’s Got Talent said the talent show will have the same affect on all of the finalists.
Explaining that any exposure is good exposure in showbiz, he said: “That’s what happens with this[Ireland’s Got Talent], singers and dancers will come on and people will say ‘ah you were that one, that girl or that singer off the telly.”
Meanwhile, admitting that he made sure to be on his best behaviour this year, after landing himself in hot water with producers when he accidentally pressed the coveted golden buzzer in season one, he said: “No, I didn’t do anything like that. I was watching the golden buzzer myself the whole time to make sure I didn’t do anything like that or get a phone call from Simon going ‘Jason really can you please stop pressing the buzzer.”
“But if you do anything bold, Louis will tell on you. If you don’t behave yourself, Louis will say ‘I’m telling Simon on you’.
