The Snuts go to number one with new EP

West Lothian's brightest new thing The Snuts have claimed number one in the Scottish charts with their new EP.

The Mixtape EP also went to number one in the Vinyl charts and into the top 20 in the UK overall.

To keep the momentum going they'll be releasing a new track tomorrow, a cover of 'Summer in the City'.

The Whitburn boys say that the EP is a collection of songs that they recorded in different timezones and different headspaces.

Bassist Callum Wilson said: “The support we’ve had from the fans in Scotland has been absolutely incredible. Even with these uncertain times people have still went that extra mile and put us at the top of the chart.

"Pretty humbling and surreal to have our name up there with the likes of Niall Horan, Circa Waves and our boy Capald ... But I can’t deny it feels right.“

The lads recently said that they don't want to collaborate with Lewis Capaldi in order to keep their freindship "fun."

Next up was supposed to be live dates in Europe and the UK but as with everyone else their plans are on hold due to coronavirus.
