Lane Cove Theatre Company presents a musical of Hans Christian Andersen’s tale The Snow Queen. The tale tells of two friends, Kai and Gerda, who used to play together until one day Kai gets splinters from a troll mirror caught in his heart.
He becomes cruel and aggressive, and eventually is taken to the Snow Queen’s palace. The Snow Queen plans to transform the world into a white wilderness where people’s hearts are cold as ice. Gerda must save Kai, and battles trolls and robbers and the Snow Queen’s magic along the way.
