The sneaky entrance to Aintree racecourse where you can avoid the queues

The week of the Grand National Festival 2019 is finally upon us.

By now, most will have their outfits sorted and will be getting excited for the greatest racing event in the world at Aintree racecourse.

Thousands of racegoers are expected to descend on Aintree for the Grand National and the final tickets that are left are selling out fast.

With all those people heading to the same place, queues are expected, but there might be a way to avoid them altogether.

By picking one of the sneaky side entrances, rather than the main entrance, you could avoid queuing and have more time enjoying yourself inside.

Many people might not be aware that there are entrances all over the course, including one on Melling Road.

Take our big Grand National at Aintree quiz to test your knowledge of the world's greatest steeplechase

Two of the lesser known entrances are the Station Entrance and the Sefton Arms Entrance, which are next to each other on Ormskirk Road, right next to the Queens Arms and Aintree Tandori restaurant.
