Wigan has yet again been named as the happiest place to live in Greater Manchester.
People in the area gave the highest score when asked to rate how happy they were the previous day, figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show.
Residents gave a rating of 7.6 out of 10 for the year 2019/20. The figure is the same as the year before, and up on the year before that, when Wigan was also the happiest in Greater Manchester.
The borough also recorded the lowest anxiety levels at 2.6 out of 10.
The Manchester Evening News asked MyWigan readers why they were so happy - but it turns out, it's a shocking place to live.
Here's what they said on Facebook:
1. The people are always grumpy

Elsie Hadcroft, who moved to Wigan from Australia, said: "All Lancashire people are really friendly and will always help anyone in need."
Jean Prior added: "The people, and the beautiful scenery throughout the boroughs."
Lynne Waddington commented: "We have people who are no nonsense but who are capable of laughing at themselves."
2. Wigan is just an old, coal wasteland

Margaret Perkins said: "I love Wigan. Nice place to live and most people very friendly.
"We have a good few parks and green spaces to walk and we are very centrally placed in our country to visit anywhere else."
Susan Kindred commented: "I think we are very fortunate to have so much green space in Wigan. I know when my lovely mum used to visit she was always surprised how green it was - and also how many good places to eat there are!"
3. There's no culture, just clogs

Andrew Cunliffe said: "History, rugby, football, no pretentious people, great place to live."
"In 2013, Latics won the FA Cup and Warriors won the Challenge Cup. How many other towns, never mind cities could say this!" added Gill Gibson.
Karina Vernon agreed, saying: "Best rugby league club - the mighty Warriors."
4. No peace and quiet whatsoever

Annie Marie Gilani said: "I love where we live it’s a quiet street and nice people."
Lynne Waddington added: "We are surrounded by beautiful countryside."
5. All anyone talks about is pies!

....This one might be true.
"They've got all the pies!" joked Tracy Piwecki.
6. No one is proud to be a Wiganer

Matthew Brown said: "I was born in Billinge Hospital so was my sister and brother we are proud to be Wiganers and always will be. I love living in Wigan as do all my family."
Susan Rigby added: "A true Wiganer born and bred."
Sylvia Molyneux said: "Wonderful place to live, Wiganer now and always."
Pat Hulme commented: "I love living where I am, and have always been proud of saying I live in Wigan."
