The six teams with a massive financial advantage over Nottingham Forest next season

Six of Nottingham Forest's Championship promotion rivals will receive lucrative Premier League parachute payments ahead of next season.

While the division's three newly relegated sides will pocket their first year payments, the biggest of the lot, they are not the only clubs who have a fortune waiting for them.

Swansea City, Stoke City and West Brom are also eligible for payments as they embark on their second campaign since relegation, providing added competition for Martin O'Neill's side.

The Premier League also offers additional cash for clubs entering their third season outside the top-flight, but neither Hull City nor Middlesbrough are eligible for that having spent just the single season in the top-flight.

League One Sunderland will receive the £15m payment having spent far longer in the top flight.

The Black Cats missed out on an instant return the Championship after a stoppage-time defeat to Charlton in the League One play-off final.

The three clubs entering the league from above - Huddersfield Town, Fulham and Cardiff City - will each receive £40m this season alone, substantially aiding their summer transfer business.

While Stoke City, Swansea and West Brom will each be given a £35m slice of the pie.

In total, Huddersfield will earn £90m over the next three years, while Fulham and Cardiff will pocket £75m each.
