The six players tipped to sign for Man City before the transfer window closes on deadline day... according to bookies

The transfer deadline is fast approaching and so far it’s been a quiet window for Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola is yet to add any reinforcements to his squad, and it remains to be seen whether that narrative will change before Monday’s 11pm deadline.

On the pitch, City are currently top of the table and have won their last eight league games to establish a three-point lead at the Premier League’s summit.

Ahead of Monday's deadline, here's a look at who Sky Bet think could arrive at the Etihad Stadium.

Edin Dzeko – 10/1

The striker has been linked with a return to Manchester in recent weeks, although the view is that it’s not going to happen.

City are currently without their star striker Sergio Aguero, so the link with a new forward is not unthinkable.

However, this hasn’t stopped the bookies listing relatively low odds on Dzeko returning to the Etihad.

Lionel Messi – 20/1

The Barcelona icon was linked with a move to City back in the summer when he initially announced his intention to leave the Nou Camp.

Given his previous work with Guardiola at Barcelona, as well as City’s financial might, it is understandable to have that link there if there is even any remote whisper that he could move clubs.

The likelihood of Messi leaving on deadline is unlikely, but that hasn’t stopped the bookies from thinking it’s a possibility.

Jack Grealish – 25/1

The Aston Villa captain has been linked with some of English football’s biggest clubs, including City as well as rivals Manchester United.

Grealish has been in sparkling form for Villa this season, and will no doubt be one of the most sought after players when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

Will he leave Villa Park on deadline day? It’s extremely unlikely. Will he sign for City on deadline day? Even more unlikely, but that hasn't stopped the bookies thinking there’s half a chance.

Tyrone Mings – 33/1

Another Aston Villa tipped to be a possible option for City, albeit a bit more far-fetched.

There has been no real link between Mings and a move to the Etihad, although the centre-back has been a solid performer since making the move to Villa Park from Bournemouth.

Quite lengthy odds of moving to City, so we shouldn’t expect to see this happen on deadline day.

Jadon Sancho – 33/1

It shouldn’t be a surprise to see Sancho linked with a return to City, after all he has been the subject of interest from Man United in the past and will be one of the most sought after forwards next summer.

However, the fnancial outlay that it would take to prize Sancho away from Borussia Dortmund at this time of the season is unthinkable in the current climate.

As a result, we shouldn’t expect to see Sancho moving anywhere before the transfer window closes, let alone to the Etihad.

Paul Pogba – 66/1

Think we can safely rule this one out, to be honest.
