The six guidelines fans are being asked to follow if attending Ireland v Portugal at the Aviva Stadium

Important information has been released for fans attending the Republic of Ireland's World Cup qualifier against Portugal on Thursday night.

The Dublin 4 venue will be at full capacity for a football match for the first time since pre-Covid times as Cristiano Ronaldo and co come to town.

Stephen Kenny's side came so close to a famous win against Portugal in Faro back in September after taking the lead through a John Egan header just before half-time.

But two late goals from Ronaldo saw the Portuguese take all three points.

The Boys in Green are undefeated in four games since that loss and recorded 3-0 and 4-0 wins over Azerbaijan and Qatar respectively last month.

The Aviva Stadium has published the following guidelines for fans attending the match on Thursday night:

  • Print or download your ticket before arriving to the stadium.
  • No Vaccine Cert required for public and premium levels. Vaccine cert required for hospitality areas.
  • Masks are required throughout all indoor areas.
  • All food kiosks and bars are open and operating a socially distanced queue. All food and drinks must be consumed in your seats.
  • Reusable cups will be available throughout the stadium. Please return these to the bars at the end of the game.
  • The Aviva Stadium is now fully cashless, meaning fans must pay via bank cards, Google Pay or Apple Pay. No cash will be available or accepted.
