The six Edinburgh areas that now have the highest Covid cases

Four areas in Edinburgh have been identified as 'Covid hotspots' and have more cases than anywhere else in the city.

The latest coronavirus data, from Public Health Scotland, shows that Murrayburn and Wester Hailes North, The Calders, Broomhouse and Bankhead, Niddrie, Parkhead and Sighthill and Leith Hermitage all recorded between 200 and 399 cases per 100,000 people in the past seven days.

A list of other neighbourhood areas in Edinburgh also have the second-highest health alert of 100 to 199 cases per 100,000. The areas include Granton and Royston Main and Morningside and Craighouse
