The Simpsons will end next year, music composer reveals

The Simpsons music composer Danny Elfman talked to Joe about rumors to end the famous cartoon show.

He said: 'Well, from what I’ve heard, it is coming to an end. I don’t know for a fact, but I’ve heard that it will be in its last year.'

The music composer is amazed at the show performance:

'All I can say is that I’m so flabbergasted and amazed that it has lasted as long as it did.

'You have to realise, when I scored The Simpsons, I wrote this crazy piece of music, and I expected no one would hear it, because I really did not think the show had a chance in hell.'

In February, Fox announced a 32nd season, but the 713th episode could be the last.

If you fear you’ll miss the American family too much, you can meet them back on Disney + as all the episodes have now been listed on the new streaming platform.

Moreover, at San Diego Comic-Con, creator Matt Groening revealed a sequel to the 2007 first movie.

He said: 'No doubt there will be another Simpsons movie one of these days.

“I think Disney wants something for its money."

The Simpsons is the longest-running American sitcom, and has collected an impressive list of trophies, winning 31 Primetime Emmy Awards, 30 Annie Awards and a Peabody Award in its three decades of existence.

In January 2000, the Simpsons family even left its mark on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
