Simpsons fans will be able to watch more than 600 episodes of the classic series on Disney+.
Disney confirmed this morning that it has secured a deal to show The Simpsons on its new 'Plus' streaming service , which is set to launch in the UK and Ireland on March 24.
Previously, it was unclear if Disney+'s UK and Ireland service would include The Simpsons, which is available on Disney+ in the USA. Yesterday, Disney hinted that it had secured Matt Groening's comedy series, as it tweeted a picture of a pink doughnut from the Disney + account.
The news was confirmed on Wednesday, with Disney+ tweeting :"Over 600 episodes of The Simpsons + Disney + Pixar + Marvel + Star Wars + Nat Geo = D’oh not miss out!"
Currently, The Simpsons is only available to watch on Sky and C4 in the UK.
Disney+ will cost £5.99 a month although customers can sign up for early bird subscriptions at £49.99 a year .
One fan tweeted: "£5.99 a month is worth it for The Simpsons alone, never mind all the extra stuff we’ll get on Disney+."
Disney's movies and series will also be available to stream, as will features by Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic.
