The shocking Swansea City player ratings as defence goes missing at Queens Park Rangers

The Swansea City player ratings from the hefty 4-0 loss to Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

Kristoffer Nordfeldt 3

Sloppiness typified the Swans early on. Wasn't commanding enough in his own box and really set the wrong kind of tone for what was a nervy display at the back.

Connor Roberts 6

Put in a real shift at both ends of the pitch, but it was just one of those days. Can't fault the effort.

Mike van der Hoorn 5

Read play well on a couple of occasions when QPR looked dangerous. Didn't cover himself in glory for the third goal, but not much he could do about the others.

Tomer Hemed of Queens Park Rangers shoots to score the second goal (Gareth Everett/Huw Evans Agency)

Cameron Carter-Vickers 4

Shrugged off so easily for Tomer Hemed's first goal. Looked a little uneasy in possession at times too.

Kyle Naughton 3

A really tough start to the match as QPR wreaked havoc on his flank. Substituted at the break.

George Byers 5

A few misplaced passes early on but did come the closest for the Swans when he fired over the bar just before the half hour mark. Subbed

Matt Grimes - Star Man 6

One of few to emerge from the first half with any kind of credit. Dropped deep centrally and to the left to help the Swans play out from the back. Moved to left-back for the second half, Grimes made a vital tackle to deny Luke Freeman just before the hour mark.

(Gareth Everett/Huw Evans Agency)

Nathan Dyer 3

Didn't do enough to threaten the hosts and was unable to make the most of things when he did get into decent positions. Hooked at half time.

Wayne Routledge 5

Things just didn't seem to fall his way, although not through the lack of trying.

Daniel James 6

On the receiving end of numerous brutal challenges in the opening half. Kept dusting himself down and going again, but to no avail.

Oli McBurnie 6

Playing much deeper than his usual No. 9 role, the Scot battled hard to keep possession as Swansea struggled to put multiple phases together at times in the first half.

Graham Potter issues apology to Swansea City fans and admits play-off hopes are over after QPR defeat

SUBS

Bersant Celina (for Dyer) - Briefly gave his side some impetus after coming on, but the damage was long done. 6

Jay Fulton (for Naughton) - A few decent challenges to break up play. 6

Joe Rodon (for Byers) - Solid enough at the back and decent on the ball. Damage was already done. 6
