This is the shocking moment a van driver shunts a car on the motorway after trying to merge into the outside lane.
The dash cam footage, reportedly taken on the M53 on Wednesday morning, shows a white van attempt to move into the right-hand lane right in the path of an oncoming Vauxhall Astra.
The van driver, realising the oncoming vehicle was not letting him in, briefly pulls back into the middle lane before shunting the car in an apparent act of road rage.
The van then wastes no time in trying to escape the scene, accelerating towards an upcoming exit.
The Astra, managing to regain control and stay on course, is seen following the van towards the exit before the footage cuts out.
The incident is believed to have occurred on the approach to Junction 6 of the M53 near Vauxhall at around 8.20am.
Dash cam footage of the incident was posted on Facebook this morning with the owner saying they had handed it to the police.
