The shock Liverpool exit that could give Chelsea hope of keeping Eden Hazard this summer

Real Madrid's pursuit of Eden Hazard is well known and could be the transfer saga of the coming summer, but the latest news out of Spain could give Chelsea hope they can keep hold of their star man.

Zinedine Zidane is in his second spell as manager at the Bernabeu having been appointed last month and ever since the list of names linked with a summer move to the capital is growing ever longer.

The latest is Sadio Mane of Liverpool, with MARCA reporting that Zidane wants to sign the forward in the summer having previously been interested in the Senegalese man during his last spell.

That could indeed mean that Chelsea could hang onto Hazard, with both players playing in the same position and with it unlikely Real Madrid will cash out to purchase both of them in the summer.

Hazard has recently said that he has no agreement in place with Madrid and that his focus is solely on Chelsea having just made his 100th cap for Belgium in their 2-0 win over Cyprus - a game where the 28-year-old scored the opener.

If the Blues can hold onto Hazard it would represent a massive boost for the side as they embark on a two-window transfer ban handed to them by Fifa.

However, it does seem that this transfer saga will run and run as the summer approaches, with Hazard and Mane both top transfer targets for Zidane.
