The shock Celtic pick as Chris Sutton and Darrell Currie name their team of the season

BT Sport duo Chris Sutton and Darrell Currie have named their team of the season - with one rather surprising pick.

The pundits collaborate weekly on a Premiership select but have now chosen their top performers from across the 2018/19 campaign.

There's a few of the usual suspects who have dominated as the end of season awards have been dished out - James Forrest, Alfredo Morelos and David Turnbull are all there.

But it's perhaps the inclusion of Dedryck Boyata that raises an eyebrow.

The Belgian has agreed to join Hertha Berlin next season and infuriated Celtic supporters last summer by apparently refusing to play in the crunch Champions League qualifier against AEK Athens.

Kristoffer Ajer has established himself as a favourite in the Hoops defence but Sutton and Currie plumped for Boyata as main man at the back.

But not everyone agreed, and there was plenty of support for Livingston's Craig Halkett as well.
