Points dropped at Millwall, Reading and now Sheffield Wednesday.
That’s the frustrating story on the road yet again for Nottingham Forest, who were just moments away from returning from Sheffield Wednesday with three crucial points in their quest for a top six finish, instead having to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Three points in the Steel City would have seen Forest extend the gap between themselves and seventh place to seven points with just eight games remaining, as it is, that gap remains at five, although they are a point closer to third following Brentford’s 2-0 win at Fulham earlier on Saturday.
In what was a tightly contested encounter at Hillsborough, Joe Lolley’s fine goal in the 69 minute looked to have been enough, only for some lax defending from Tobias Figueiredo to see Connor Wickham head in from six-yards out two minutes into five added at the end of the game.
Reds fans were forced to follow Saturday’s game on the internet or radio with the clash in south Yorkshire being played behind closed doors, were left a little flat at Wickham’s stoppage time leveller.
Not only that, Derby's 3-2 win at play-off chasing Millwall has seen the Rams close the gap on Forest to 10 points and just three to the top six, making some Reds fans a little nervous.
And here’s a snapshot of what they’ve been saying…
