The Sharks beat the Blues in OT on a goal that clearly shouldn’t have counted and fans were furious

The refs haven’t had a great run in the NHL playoffs this year and their biggest mistake, of which there have been many, happened in Wednesday night’s Game 3 between the San Jose Sharks and the St. Louis Blues.

Because they cost the Blues a game by missing a call on the overtime winner by the Sharks.

All four refs on the ice missed a hand pass by San Jose’s Timo Meier that lead to the game-winner and since all the refs missed the hand pass it wasn’t allowed to be reviewed.

Which is unbelievable. Because now San Jose has a 2-1 lead because of it and St. Louis must now find a way to regroup.

That should have been seen and called and the game should have gone on. But the refs blew it.

Although a “NON REVIEWABLE” play, linesmen have the opportunity to come in and say “that was a BLATANT hand pass, it’s no goal” … then we carry on the game and nobody would say a thing.

This is the National Hockey League, we can review offside but not a hand pass in overtime of a #StanleyCupPlayoff game? Too much on the line for a game of this magnitude to end like that.

Offsides 38 minutes before a goal is reviewable, but not a hand pass that immediately leads to a goal. The NHL is really trying to appeal to the NFL audience that loves illogical rules.

That’s a hand pass and it should be reviewable. The Sharks have gotten away with absolute murder these entire playoffs. Goal should not have counted. The city of San Jose already has the golden warriors to win all year I don’t get why the NHL is handing the sharks wins

So a few things:
– for sure a hand pass
– hand passes are not reviewable (even on a goal some reason)
– Refs suck for everyone (there's no conspiracy guys)
– I don't want to see any talk of how Sharks fans think it was a good call, they don't
