The seven Rangers and Celtic matches chosen for TV next month as Sky Sports publish August list

Seven matches involving Rangers and Celtic will be shown live on Sky Sports throughout August.

The broadcaster has revealed the 13 games to be televised in the opening month, with more than half of them involving the Glasgow rivals.

Rangers' opening day fixture away to Aberdeen, on Saturday 1 August, will be live on Sky Sports at 5.30pm. Celtic's flag day at home to Hamilton Accies the following day will also be broadcast live at 4.30pm.

Rangers' matches away to Livingston and Hamilton Accies will also be be shown by the broadcaster.

In addition to the opening match, fans of Celtic can watch their team away to Kilmarnock, St Mirren and Dundee United throughout the month.

The Sky Sports fixtures are as follows:

Aberdeen v Rangers - August 1, 5.30pm

Celtic v Hamilton - August 2, 4.30pm

Ross County v Motherwell - August 3, 7.45pm

St Johnstone v Aberdeen - August 8, 12.30pm

Kilmarnock v Celtic - August 9, 4.30pm

Dundee United v Hibs - August 11, 6pm

St Mirren v Celtic - August 12, 6pm

Hibs v Motherwell - August 15, 5.30pm

Livingston v Rangers - August 16, 4.30pm

Dundee United v Celtic - August 22, 5.30pm

St Johnstone v Hibs - August 23, 4.30pm

Hamilton v Rangers - August 29, 5.30pm

Hibs v Aberdeen - August 30, 4.30pm
