The seven Newcastle United players Steve Bruce could be without for Arsenal clash

Steve Bruce has a number of dilemmas when it comes to picking his Newcastle United side to face Arsenal tomorrow.

That's because the Newcastle boss is facing the prospect of being without seven players for the Premier League clash at St James' Park, with Arsenal loanee Joe Willock among those set to miss out.

The Gunners' midfielder is unable to face his parent club as part of the loan agreement, which saw him join the Magpies at the end of the January transfer window until the end of the season.

Willock has been a key figure for Bruce in recent weeks, scoring vital goals for the Magpies against Southampton, Tottenham, Liverpool and West Ham to help boost their chances of staying in the Premier League.

But he will not be involved tomorrow in the north east, with Willock one of seven players Bruce could be without.

The other six are all due to injuries, with Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles currently ruled out with a foot injury, while fellow defender Fabian Schar faces a late fitness test, having returned to training after several months on the sidelines.

Matt Ritchie is another player who Bruce faces a late decision on, with the former Bournemouth man a doubt with a calf injury.

Three other players are ruled out for Newcastle, with winger Ryan Fraser recovering from an operation on his groin, while goalkeeper Karl Darlow recently had surgery on a knee injury and midfielder Isaac Hayden out for the season with a knee problem.

Arsenal, meanwhile, will be without striker Alexandre Lacazette for the trip to St James' Park, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and defender David Luiz could return for the Gunners.

Kick off at St James' Park is at 2pm.
