The seven Leicester City players set miss Premier League clash vs Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur take on Leicester City tomorrow as the Foxes travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Foxes will be looking to pick up three points in order to continue to push for a place in the Champions League next season, but Leicester are not the only ones looking for three points in order to play European football next season.

Spurs currently sit in seventh place in the table, one point ahead of Sheffield United. That position would mean qualification for Europe, as long as Arsenal don’t win the FA Cup.

With both teams still having major motivation going into the match, it should make for an entertaining game.

However, Brendan Rodgers’ team have been hit with injury problems over recent weeks, with seven players set to miss the game through injury or suspension.

Defender Caglar Soyuncu will be serving the second of his three-match ban after his red card vs Bournemouth, meaning he won’t play again this season.

Three other players who are set to miss the rest of the season are midfielder James Maddison, who scored the winning goal in the reverse fixture, along with left-backs Ben Chilwell and Christian Fuchs.

That means that Rodgers is likely to go with 19-year-old Luke Thomas in the left-back position.

Winger Marc Albrighton could be back for the Foxes’ final game of the season vs Manchester United, but the trip to Tottenham is likely to come too soon for the former Villa man.

Leicester have been without full-back Ricardo Pereira since the restart after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in the last game before the suspension.

Utility player Daniel Amartey has also been a long-term absentee for Leicester and hasn’t made a single appearance this season after breaking his leg over a year ago.

With so many players on the sidelines, Jose Mourinho and his Tottenham squad will be hoping that they can take advantage.
