The seven Bournemouth players Eddie Howe will be without for visit of Arsenal and Mikel Arteta

Arsenal's final away game of the decade is against Bournemouth this afternoon.

The Gunners travel to the Vitality Stadium on the back of a goalless draw against Everton last time out, a result which was overseen by new head coach Mikel Arteta from the stands at Goodison Park.

That means the Boxing Day clash will be the Spaniard's first official game in charge.

Arteta will pit his wits against Eddie Howe, who has seen his side beat Chelsea away from home last week, but lose six of their last seven games.

Speaking of the Cherries boss, he had a number of injury concerns to deal with ahead of the game.

Two players certainly out of the game against the Gunners is Nathan Ake because of an hamstring problem and left-back Diego Rico through suspension.

"I'm not expecting huge changes to the team," Howe said in his pre-match press conference. "We'll wait and see if there's anyone missing, we had a couple of worries after the game, but I don’t want to reveal who they are.

"I don’t know myself if they'll be ready for Arsenal.

"With hamstring injuries it’s difficult to predict when players will be back and Nathan won't be back for this game."

Ake and Rico join Adam Smith, Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld, Charlie Daniels, Lloyd Kelly and David Brooks as those ruled out of the game against the Gunners.

That makes it seven certain absentees.

However, there is some potentially good news for Howe.

The good people at Premier Injuries have Harry Wilson rated at 50% to make his return from a thigh injury, while Simon Francis and Ryan Fraser - linked with Arsenal in the summer - look set to return.

With that said, our friends at the Mirror have revealed a provisional squad list and there's no sign of Wilson.
