The Secrets She Keeps viewers slam 'predictable' ending as they 'saw it a mile off'

The Secrets She Keeps debuted on BBC One tonight, but viewers weren't impressed with the ending of the first episode.

The Australian drama series follows two heavily pregnant women: Meghan, played by Jessica De Gouw, who lives an apparently perfect life, and Agatha (Laura Carmichael), a single mum-to-be working a low paid job.

But the episode ended with a huge cliffhanger - Agatha got her period and revealed that she was faking her pregnancy with a pretend bump.

Though it appeared to be a huge twist many viewers said they had guessed the ending straight away, with one saying they saw it coming a "mile off".

Agatha seemed pretty untrustworthy from the start.

She hid her pregnancy from the family, claiming it was because she previously suffered a miscarriage.

After claiming she'd used a sperm donor she then said the baby's father was a man who was in the Royal Navy.

After a violent robbery at the shop she works in she told police she didn't want to go to hospital to be checked over.

Viewers called the ending 'predictable' (BBC)

When she was looking after her neighbour's little boy he told her she'd been bleeding on the sofa.

Bur rather than it being a tragic miscarriage it was revealed that Laura had come on her period and she was never pregnant in the fist place.

The scenes were branded "predictable" by fans.

One tweeted: "So obvious she was not pregnant and guessed just by watching the trailer ffs [sic]."

"Saw the fake pregnancy a mile off, but this could get interesting..." another posted.

A third wrote: "I'd guessed at the beginning she wasn’t pregnant."

"So far so predictable," another agreed.
