Newcastle Food Month's signature event will put the city on the world's culinary radar.
Le Diner en Blanc, the popular Parisian-style pop-up picnic characterised by its famous all-white dress code, will make its Newcastle debut on April 10.
The secret "posh picnic" is hosted in 80 cities - in 30 countries - around the world.
Each event is headed by passionate local organisers who have fallen in love with the concept and wanted to bring it to their city, giving each rendezvous a local flair.
The location will only be revealed to attendees on the morning of April 10.
Guests are advised of their departure point when they purchase their tickets, and from there they move on to the secret location.
Le Diner en Blanc - Newcastle is being organised by Newcastle Events principals - and Newcastle Food Month founders - Louise and Gus Maher.
"We have always looked at attending a Le Diner en Blanc somewhere in the world, however when we conceived Newcastle Food Month we saw it as a great opportunity to actually apply for the Diner en Blanc event licence for Newcastle," Louise Maher said.
"We had to ask ourselves 'Is Newcastle ready for an event like Diner en Blanc?' and the answer is yes. Our city has developed in so many ways, and among them is a desire for stylish events that have quality food and wine as their core element."
To participate in this inaugural event, guests must be invited via the hosts' network or participating partners. Or, you can register on the waiting list via the official website at register.dinerenblanc.com/newcastle.

"This is an opportunity to dress up - in white - stylishly and elegantly; decorate your table with flair, and celebrate friendship, sharing good food, good wine and conversation," Ms Maher said.
"COVID restrictions are, of course, always on our minds. As a seated, fenced, ticketed event, and limiting attendance to 1000 people in our first year, we are very confident that our event can proceed."
Newcastle Food Month's mouthwatering line-up was revealed in Saturday's Newcastle Herald. It's a month-long smorgasbord of special dinners, lunches, meal deals, festivals and masterclasses, and it's happening in April.
