When a Valentine family set out to build their dream house in Jewells, they dreamt big.
What sits at 25 Murray Street more than 20 years later is both visually spectacular and grand in scale.

"It's in a street that nobody knows about and it's semi-tropical," said the home's owners.
"There's a creek across the road so there's lots of palm trees.
"We get lots of parrots and bellbirds all the time, it's just beautiful. It's our own little paradise."
Built and designed by its owners, the 2.5 acre property is surrounded by lush gardens.
A huge games room - 85 square metres - takes in a pool table, fireplace and operational bar with beer on tap.
A ground floor granny flat caters for extended families.
The owners, who plan to move interstate, said they were grateful to have had 23 years in "a beautiful family home".
"We've been blessed to have this house and live here for as long as we have.
"The kids are well into their 30s, we've had all their 21sts here, the engagements, their weddings, all the grandkids here and their parties.
"It'll be very bittersweet [to leave] - I'll probably be in tears but it's time we moved on and got something smaller.
"We've planned to do some travelling so it's the next stage of our lives when it sells."
Selling agent Sam Taylor, of Belle Property, said the home had received interest from local, out-of-area and interstate buyers.
"The size, grandeur and quality of the finish can't really be appreciated without going through it," he said.
"They've done an extremely good job to have a home of such a grand scale that complements the surrounding nature."
