The SEC dominated the 2019 NFL Draft

You’ve probably heard at some point in your football watching life that the closest thing to the NFL is SEC football on Saturdays. Apparently, coaches, scouts, and general managers also agree with that assessment since the SEC absolutely dominated the 2019 NFL Draft.

I guess it’s really that Alabama dominated the NFL Draft. Georgia and Texas A&M also did a pretty good job of getting their players into the NFL.

If you happen to know an SEC fan, you know they have a big-time superiority complex when it comes to other conferences. This will only embolden them further. Now they have the data to back up their opinion.

This really shouldn’t be news. The SEC has had the most players drafted for 13 consecutive years, but it just seems like this year was even bigger than most. A little more than the quarter of the first 32 picks were from the SEC.
