Irish rock band The Script will be taking to the stage in Edinburgh this weekend, as part of the Castle Concert series in the capital.
The rockers will perform at Edinburgh Castle on Saturday, July 16, joining other Castle Concert headliners like Deacon Blue, Olly Murs and Elbow. The festival-style series is taking place across the summer, and gives the biggest artists the chance to perform in front of an iconic landmark, Edinburgh Castle.

When does The Script concert start in Edinburgh?
Doors for The Script open at 6:45pm, and support act Moy will take to the stage at 7:45pm. The Script will then appear at 8:45pm, with a curfew time of 10:30pm.
Advice provided for concert-goers
This weekend's concert will take place at Edinburgh Castle's esplanade, which is an outdoor arena. This means that the concert will go ahead even if it is raining - unless the area is deemed unsafe.
Top tips include:
- Wear warm, suitable clothing that is waterproof, if required, and sturdy footwear
- Do not sit in the grandstands if you have vertigo, suffer with breathing difficulties or heart problems
- Edinburgh Castle is a no-smoking venue, which includes the use of e-cigarettes and vapes
- Alcohol and bottled drinks over 500ml are not permitted into the event
- Children under 16 are to be accompanied by an adult at all times
What is the weather meant to be like?
According to the Met Office's forecast, it is to be generally dry with bright and sunny spells. Temperatures will lift into the low 20's again in east.
However, a few scattered showers may develop late in the day across western areas. There will be a maximum temperature of 22°C, so get your sun cream and hats out, as this is set to be a scorcher.
