The Scotsman yesterday increased its cover price for the second time this year, moving up from £1 to £1.10p. Last January it cost 85p.
The paper told readers the rise was "due to a number of circumstances brought about by the extremely challenging economic environment which still prevails."
It is one of several Johnston Press titles instituting cover price increases during a period of relaunches.
