Salford council has released a list of schools in the borough that are either fully or partially closed today.
Salford council's website added: "Each school has their own procedures for notifying parents of a school closure, including the use of a text messaging service that will notify parents if a school will be closing."
"If you need to know the latest situation you should contact the relevant school via telephone to listen to a automated message which will keep you updated of the situation.
"Details of emergency school closures and openings will also be aired on local radio stations. Schools have also been given access to update this page with any closure details."

Closure reason: We have decided to close Chatsworth High School and Community College, Chatsworth Futures and Chatsworth Engage with effect from 3.30pm on Tuesday 17th March 2020.
