The School For Good and Evil by Soman Chainani – review

Every 4 years, two children (one good and one evil) are stolen from the village of Gavaldon and are taken to The School For Good and Evil , where one will go to Good and the other will go to Evil.

They will learn how to become heroes and villains in their school and after leaving, they may become the main character in a real-life fairytale, where they will have to try and survive. All of the children wish desperately not to go as they will never see their family or friends again, but not Sophie.

Sophie dreams of going to The School of Good, where she will live with people as beautiful as her but her best friend Agatha doesn’t believe in it and is ugly and lives in a graveyard so everyone thinks she will be in The School For Evil. When Sophie and Agatha are taken, things don’t go as Sophie planned and they realise that sometimes Good and Evil don’t look like they do in fairytales…
