
Cars pass through a snowy corridor along National Highway Route 292 in Nakanojo, Gunma Prefecture, on Friday as a 23.1-kilometer section on the route reopened after being closed to traffic during the winter. The reopening came following the thawing of the snow. The highway route was partially designated a no-entry area after the January eruption of Mt. Motoshirane, which is part of Mt. Kusatsushirane, but was deemed accessible after the alert level was lowered in mid-March.
