A season full of new hopes and dreams for 49ers fans.
Veteran quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and third overall pick Trey Lance will battle for the starting quarterback position. While Lance is obviously in the team’s plans for the future, Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch want to get back into the playoffs immediately and re-establish themselves as Super Bowl contenders.
They have the schedule to do that with games against the NFC North and AFC South. Games against the rebuilding Lions and lifeless Texans are just what the doctor ordered for a return to the postseason.
