"The s***head family" - Nate Diaz renews attack on Jake Paul after meeting his father

Nate Diaz has taken aim at Jake Paul's "s***head" family after meeting the YouTube star's dad.

The UFC veteran has been embroiled in a heated rivalry with YouTube star Paul for several months, with the influencer repeatedly insisting the pair meet in a boxing duel. A fight between the pair was previously difficult with Diaz tied down to a contract with the UFC, but he has since competed in his last fight by choking out Tony Ferguson last year.

Paul recently signed a deal with MMA promotion PFL and proposed a two-fight deal to the Stockton native who has yet to make a clarified response to the offer. However in a renewed attack on Paul, he tweeted a video of himself meeting Paul's dad Greg with the caption: "Apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The s***head family."

In the video Diaz can be pictured ringside at Paul's win over UFC legend Anderson Silva last year and the pair shook hands and greeted. Paul's dad began: "I just wanted to say I admire the f*** out of you. I love the way you fight and hopefully you are going to be fighting Jake. We watch you and love your fight style, take it easy man."

Diaz greeted with him respect before the video moved to a clip of Paul's dad from a podcast, in which he said: "Jake will knock the p*** out of Nate Diaz. Nate Diaz is a punk and his record is mediocre." Paul's father has been present at both Jake and Logan's fights, with Diaz also ringside at Paul's previous event.

However the UFC superstar was kicked out of the arena by the time the main event came around, after trying to break into Paul's dressing room before slapping a member of the YouTube star's security team. The UFC veteran has regularly criticised Paul's boxing career where he was expected to be his next opponent, but Tommy Fury appears to be currently the front runner to take his next fight.

Despite a fight being no further along, Paul has offered to fight Diaz both in the cage and in the boxing ring once he is trained and ready to compete in MMA in 2024. "I've already disrupted boxing and now it's time to disrupt MMA," Paul told fans in a YouTube video announcing his signing with PFL. "I know this is such a tough sport and it's not going to be easy.

"But if I could do it in boxing, I could do it in MMA. I'm so dedicated to this that I offered Nate Diaz a two-fight deal. First, we box. Then six months later we fight MMA in the PFL 'smart cage' and lay it all on the line.

"If that's not balls, then I don't know what is. Nate Diaz, I'm down to fight you in your own damn sport. It's a two-fight deal, let's make this happen."
