Tips and recycling centres in Greater Manchester will remain open during lockdown, but only for essential visits.
National restrictions will be imposed across England from this Thursday (November 5).
During this time people will be urged to only visit household waste recycling centres across the region "where essential".
Visitors will be asked to stick to social distancing guidelines and wash their hands before and after visiting.
Waste and recycling facilities in Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford are overseen by SUEZ on behalf of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
Wigan Council administers its own waste disposal arrangements.
A Greater Manchester Combined Authority spokesperson said: “The Government is planning to introduce further national restrictions from Thursday 5 November.
"Household waste recycling centres across Greater Manchester will remain open throughout the proposed period of restrictions.
“From Thursday, residents will be urged to only visit facilities where essential.
"Residents who do visit household waste and recycling centres are encouraged to separate waste and recycling before their visit to make it easier to use the site quickly; maintain two-metre social distancing from other site users; and wash their hands before and after their visit.
"Social distancing measures are in place across all our sites and have been since they were reopened at the beginning of May.”
