The role former Chelsea men are playing to help Kieran Trippier after his move from Spurs

Kieran Trippier has admitted that former Chelsea men Alvaro Morata and Diego Costa are helping him "feel at home" at Atletico Madrid.

The England international recently completed a move to Spain, leaving Tottenham after four years in north London following a switch from Burnley in 2015.

It was a move that surprised some football fans, but Trippier has spoken of how much he is enjoying his time with his new team-mates, with the 28-year-old delivering a message for the supporters of the La Liga giants.

"The fans have been incredible," he told Atletico's official website. "Since I arrived they have supported me and received me with open arms. I have come here to work hard and give my all for my team-mates and the club. I will give my all for this shirt."

Meanwhile, Trippier has opened up on the role Morata and Costa are playing in helping him settle and adapt to life in Spain, with the right-back discussing the importance of having players who he knows and has come up against in the past.

"I have played against some of these players in the Premier League - players like Alvaro Morata and Diego Costa have made me feel at home. Some try speak in English with me and I try to speak in Spanish.

"I am very excited to be here, in an incredible team with an amazing coach and I am willing to learn."

Trippier signed a three-year contract with Atletico Madrid, joining the La Liga side in a deal worth in excess of £20million.
