Jermain Jenas has revealed that he doesn't know if Tottenham will finish in the top four this season if Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen leave the club.
Eriksen's future has been the topic of debate around north London for weeks on end.
The Danish midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and is yet to agree fresh terms.
The uncertainty over his future has caused Mauricio Pochettino to leave out his star midfielder in two of Tottenham's opening three Premier League fixtures.
There is still a real possibility Eriksen could leave before the European transfer window closes next week. If not, he could go for nothing next summer.
Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Danny Rose are all in the same situation, which has caused unrest in the Spurs camp.
Jenas, who made over 150 appearances for Spurs, has called on Daniel Levy to pay whatever the duo are demanding or risk missing out on the Champions League football.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5Live Friday Night Social, he said: "My biggest concern for Tottenham right now, I looked at their squad at the start of the season and you put in Ndombele, Sessegnon, Lo Celso, I thought they were a shoo-in for the top four.
"For what you're trying to achieve as a football club, that has got to be your start point and you kick on from that and you build and you build until you're ready to start challenging for titles.
"Without Vertonghen and without Eriksen, I'm not so sure they will finish in the top four anymore. That amount of money and the global presence of the football club, how do you figure that out in terms of, is Eriksen worth that, is Vertonghen worth that?
"Of course they are, you pay them the money! I just feel like it's getting a bit petty. They're like 30 years old, they've been at the club at the longtime. These are players that have been a good servant to the football club and they play games.
"Eriksen played more games than anyone last season, Vertonghen made 30+ starts. Having them not happy will cost you a Champions League position."
