The role Alexandre Lacazette could play in tempting Nabil Fekir to seal £30m Arsenal transfer

Nabil Fekir is being linked with a summer transfer to Arsenal.

Less than 12 months ago the France international seemed set to join Liverpool only for a deal collapsed at the 11th hour, while Chelsea were also rumoured to be interested in his signature.

He ended up staying put, scoring 12 goals - including one in the Champions League against Manchester City - and weighing in with nine assists across all competitions last season.

However, Fekir looks poised to move on this summer.

Lacazette's father even said in 2017 that if his son moved anywhere it would be to Arsenal.

Furthermore, France based football writer Matt Spiro hinted at a move to north London for Fekir amid links to Real Madrid and Chelsea late last year.

He tweeted : "Real Madrid considering January move for Lyon captain Nabil Fekir, according to Marca. Chelsea still interested. When I spoke to Fekir earlier this month, he told me the guy he’s most enjoyed playing with in his career is Alexandre Lacazette.

"Just putting that out there..."
