The Rockets have been unreal good since the All-Star Break

It is no surprise that the Houston Rockets have been good lately.

But since the All-Star break, they’ve been unreal good with a league-leading 20-4 record.

Kirk Goldsberry at ESPN put the Rockets’ past few months into a very pretty graphic.

NBA.com/stats shows those stats break down to, from February 21 onward at:

  • NET at 11.2 (actually No. 1)
  • OFF at 116.0 (actually No. 2)
  • DEF at 104.8 (actually No. 2)

Further, since their 11-14 start, they’ve had the No 1. offense (116.5), No. 9 defense (109) and No. 3 net rating (+7.5).

Could you argue that this 2018-19 Rockets team, which is peaking at the exact right time, is better than last year’s team which was one injury and one win away from making the NBA finals?

And even as the season is ending and the playoffs are clinched, Houston isn’t letting up and making sure they roll into the postseason on full momentum.

They are the 4th team in NBA History to win four straight games by 24+ points.
